Instagram is an online mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures and videos, and share them on a variety of social networking platforms.

Of all of the social networking apps on my iPhone, I log on to Instagram the most. The first thing I do when I wake up is to check on my Instagram feed and the last thing I do minutes before falling asleep is checking on my Instagram feed. All I do most days are refreshing my Instagram feed page or explore other people’s Instagram pages; from pictures of food, clothes, pets and celebrities. I am guilty of spending way too much time looking at other people’s photos. But beautiful pictures are meant to be seen.. :)

Vine

Vine is a service that allows users to record and edit six-second long looping video clips, and revine. Revine is where users can share other people’s posts with followers. The videos can be then published through Vine's social network and shared on other services such as Facebook and Twitter. 

According to the article, the IOS version of the app was updated with new features. Vine users can now follow specific channels that categorizes videos based on broad themes such as animals, comedy, DIY, food or style. The updated app also takes advantage of iOS 8's share extension allowing users to import videos directly from the camera roll.

I am a Vine user but not as often I would like to. I prefer to watch other people’s Vine videos than making my own as I am lacking in the creativity department. It takes a certain kind of creativity, intelligence and skills to create an interesting six second looping video clip. My favorite Viners are Logan Paul, Jake Paul and King Bach.

WeChat is a very convenient and is a free social media app which allows you to message and call  with your family and friends. It’s the all-in-one communications app for free text (SMS/MMS), voice & video calls, moments, photo sharing, and games. It is a really good app connecting with friends and family. I love to use it as it is user-friendly for me.

Pinterest is a web and mobile application company to find user’s inspiration and share it with others. Users use it to collect things they love, organize and plan important projects and more. According to the article, research published by Shareaholic stated that, Facebook still drives the most traffic, but Pinterest is a contender. I personally am an avid Pinterest user. I love that I am able to take inspirations from others and “Pin It” into a board for later reference. For example, in decorating my bedroom, I created a board “My Bedroom”, then I would browse though the content of others on the main page and if I like what I see, I will “Pin It” into the board. This board gives me the inspiration of what I want my bedroom to look like and for later reference when purchasing the decorations for the room.

Meeting Friends or Strangers using MeowChat

This is an interesting app, it is called MeowChat. Many users signing up to join in to meet new people to chat with. It is simple to get started which you can connect with Facebook to chat and invite your friends to join in. 

The Random Chat feature that allows you to connect to strangers which you can make new friends.

There is also another feature, which called Explore! Here you will be able to check out other users around the world. Besides, you can even comments or like their posts and pictures.

For me, I do not really like this app as it is too public and do not have much privacy. People all around the world who is using MeowChat can easily found you and chat with you.

Capture the Moments using MeiPai

MeiPai ia a microvideo app which can capture moments in 10 seconds. Besides, it also provide editing tools for videos. You also can follow other people and watch their videos.

After you capture your video, you can choose the MV you want. You can also change the words that appear in the video and you also can select the song which you want it to be in the video.

Furthermore, you can connect it to Facebook to share the videos that you have created. You also can like, comment and share your own videos or other people's videos.

The only cons is there will be some chinese words in the app as MeiPai belongs to a chinese app.
